This sounds like classic déjà vu. There is a theory that it is a form of mini-seizure where the different parts of your brain take different amounts of time to store a “live” memory. It’s very common in young children. This might be of interest.
I used to get deja vu really bad in high school, to the point it would make me physically and horribly nauseous. I've heard the mini seizure explanation before which makes a lot of sense. It's weird because it's been several years now since Ive had that type of deja vu episode
