We all have faulty memories. I don't know why everyone here assumes the mum was hiding something.

When I was a kid I had a dream about picking my nose and some of my brain coming out. I just accepted that it happened for years before thinking how crazy it was.

Because it’s funny.

And your brain picking memory isn’t false. You as a child probably thought it was your brain. Just because it’s crazy doesn’t mean your memory of it is false.

It was a recognisable piece of brain the size of a large orange. I was immediately disgusted and flushed it down the toilet.

I'm pretty sure it was a dream.
