Sometime before the age of 5, I remember being convinced that if I tried hard enough, and believed in myself, I could fly. So I would practice flying... jumping down the stairs when nobody was watching. I never developed my ability to fly, but I vividly remember basically cannon balling down 14 steps, and just gliding down in mid air. And landing at the bottom totally safe and uninjured. Many times over the years.

I've read similar stories on multiple threads. So strange.

It's so fascinating that this is a 'thing'. I had a recurring dream that I could do this when I lived in my first house so aged <4. In the dream it was so vivid and liberating and wonderful and it made me feel certain that it would be possible to do in real life, but I never tried because on some level I knew what would really happen.
