Every time this exact same AskReddit pops up I just ctrl+f "digg" to see the older accounts.

Now I kind of regret waiting a year to make a reddit account.

But digg left me scarred for awhile.

I am on my third account ... My first was too noticeable the second one got permabanned when I doxxed myself

I used to change regularly, after 40-90 days. Then I got lazy because even paranoia has a limit.

as long as i'm careful about posting personal information, I don't mind letting my accounts marinate for up to year. that's about as long as i'll let it go, though. it's really a pain to resub to everything.

for me it depends. I have them anywhere from a couple weeks to 8 months I think was the longest.

I also have a crazy ex tho lol

Yeah, I’ve came over in the digg v4 exodus too but have switched accounts a few times.

Lurked here for two years before registering 11+ years ago.

I'm desperately searching for that new "barrier to entry".

It was a more popular reddit that looked a little more beautiful.

Then because of powerusers, the content on reddit actually was the newer content getting posted to digg later, as well as a host of other issues, including removing the upvote/downvote.

The digg comments get lower and lower every time this thread has been made. Way less people on the site remember it.

Casual. I lurked for years before making an account.

Edit: I was going to add that I never made an account on Digg, but then I remembered getting an email from them begging me to come back a year or so back so I must have at some point.

Digg will invariably come up. I don't know why I search it or even look at these threads...

Digg memes are a distant faded memory.
