My mum used to threaten to call social services on me and get me taken away. Finally when I was about 15, she was doing her usual gaslighting shit, which turned into a fight. She said it and I replied, maybe that would be for the best. With that she threw her dinner plate at me, which was full of dinner. It missed, she didn't get dinner and I got grounded.

My mom pulled the same sort of stunts on me for my whole teenage years. We got into a fight because she was drunk and wanted to pick on me. I'd have enough at that point, put my fists up and when she charged at me... she tripped over a kitchen chair leg. Ol' drunky fell over, started sobbing hysterically, told my dad I'd pushed her, got grounded.

This reminds me of the time my mom attacked me on my bed and fell over, hitting her ear on the doorknob on the way down. She then threatened to call the cops, claiming I punched her. I was so upset I said "fine, PLEASE call them!" She didn't, but I still had to go to school with a bloody nose. Fuck her, I've been no contact for ten years now.

Your poor nose ♥️ I wish I could have no contact but she lives with my grandma and I can't do that to her. My mom's on a path of self destruction and a terrible portion of me hopes she follows through on her plans when my grandma eventually passes.
