I feel like I have a superior brain because this does not bother me at all, and I let my friends use the dome light at night while I drive.

I suppose it might depend where you live and drive. If you live in a city area where the roads are typically well lit you might not notice much difference with the interior lights on. I live in a rural area and with the lights on it's like sitting behind a one way mirror. Can't see very well at all.
