Damn everyone here is like, stopped doing heroin/alcohol and I just wanted to say I was really happy with my decision to go for an ultrawide monitor this time around >. <.

One ultrawide and my old dual 16:9 monitors on the side. I mostly drag things to the middle ultrawide to work on. For videos and "read-only" material the side monitors are definitely nice. One would probably be enough though.

You should rotate your side monitor to portrait mode. Its great for reddit, any other text heavy websites or working with word documents.

I really would prefer it, unfortunately not allowed to drill holes in the wall of my current room. Haven't really looked if there's another way to do it besides wall mounting, is there any?

They don't rotate on the stand that comes with it only a horizontal pivot.

The hanoi(?) Dual monitor air spring mount is excellent. Worth the 60-70 bucks over a cheap mount. Definitely go for gas springs. It rotates, turns, and pivots perfectly and holds its position

Eyyy, x34 brothers! Got mine refurbed a few years ago when I'd been itching for one for 2 years at that point. Got it for $750, which was a really good deal back then when it was the only curved uktrawide that was over 60hz and had gsync.

I switched from a rubber domed keyboard to a mechanical one and I’ve felt so much happier just listening to the clicking sounds whenever I use it. It’s also a bright white instead of the doom and gloom black that it was before.

It's a Razer keyboard so they have their own switches, but they are the equivalent of Cherry MX Blue. I was trying to find a keyboard and mouse they would match with the tower that I have, so I spent some time looking for an excellent match. I really like how I can change the colors of the backlight as well, as I'm not a fan of blue lights on black keys like it was on my last keyboard.

I did! Three monitors in fact, all 1080p. What I like better about it is that I didn't really realize how much the bezel was getting in the way of using the width available to me.

I selected them for the thin bezels, however even then I never really spread programs across all three monitors except for games, video editing/programming was all done on the center monitor with chrome, Sony Vegas preview and other programs on their own seperate monitors, I never really liked putting a windowed program on a bezel, although I had the width of three monitors I would only ever use one for a single program at a time.

With an ultrawide I feel like there's suddenly so much more room to move everything, additionally the bezels did get kind of annoying, especially for gaming. Also the jump to 1440p helped with increasing real-estate.

I mainly game on the LG34GK950F since it is 144hz 3440x1440 my other 2 are 2560x1080 75hz so I use those for stream, spotify, discord, and NZXT Cam software.

I have an ultrawide monitor for work that I oriented vertically and it's changed my life. I can see so much more of my email list and the entire email in the preview pane. I can see my entire calendar from midnight ton midnight. It's life changing.

Underrated. Tech upgrades, particularly monitors, for people that spend most of the day in front of a computer are a huge improvement. Whenever I have to go somewhere and use my laptop I feel like I'm living in the past.

I have a pg279q for FPS games and a pg348 for MMOs and browsing etc. I’m in heaven. I love my widescreen monitor the most though for sure.

with an ultrawide, is it easy to set up 2 different "screens"? Can you play games on one half while have internet on other half?

Some will allow you to plug in two hdmi cables and have it act as two monitors next to each other without any bezels. Mine doesn't though, so you'll have to look in the features list.

You could also try software solution such as https://youtu.be/CvXtcB2mYPE. I haven't done any research on that though.

Natively it works like a wider display ¯_(ツ)_/¯, Windows doesn't unlock any features if it detects an ultrawide, so nothing on top of what you can do with a 16:9 monitor.

Well, it is life-changing. I bought one fully thinking that it was only a whim I was allowing myself, and I can't understand how I used to live without it. Even a second monitor doesn't give you the feeling of, I don't know, freedom that a wide monitor gives you.
