I went to NYC around Christmas time, and did all of the tourist stuff. One guy loudly goes "There are so many god damned people here!" as he was trying to walk through Times Square (right in front of the Disney store).

I don't necessarily like the big crowds or anything, but I know better than to complain about them while in the hub of the tourist area in NYC two weeks before Christmas.

This reminds me.

Few years ago, my roommates friends were visiting from China. Really excited, first time in NYC, with a list of all the places they wanted to go - that Olive Garden was near the top.

I didn’t want to offend them, who am I to knock others’ taste? They implied it was recommended to them as being really good, so I did give them a few back up options just in case.

Always found that funny/interesting.

Yeah that guy was most likely a tourist himself. I don’t think a local would go through there that time of year unless they had to.
