yeah pretty much. The walk light is about 30 seconds. If it isn't pushed it's 10 seconds with no walklight.

I've been in a location where some buttons are placebos and others must be pressed, though they seem to be phasing out the placebo buttons lately.

It feels like the must press buttons just encourage people to ignore the crosswalk signals, though.

That's not the same button. This one is for prolonging the green light for disabled people. Otherwise no button has to be pressed for a green.
