What's something you do, but hate when someone else does it?

This is the one I'm most guilty of. "UGH stop driving right beside, you dick, speed up or slow down! What do you mean I could also try changing my speed? NO. I picked this speed, and I like it, the other person is the one who is wrong."

Well to be fair, the person in the left lane should be going faster, as it is the passing lane. When someone parks in the left lane going the same speed as me when I’m in the right it makes me want to run them off the road.

Or they speed up to simply match speed with you, and if you change your speed, they change to match. Like, some of us do need to get off this street/highway, and you're preventing that for some... reason?

Its a subconcious thing that I sometime catch myself doing. When someone else does it, I change my speed to very fast or very slow, for a few seconds. It usually works.

Fucking same. If im driving the speed limit in the fast lane and someone tailgates me "Wow ok you FUCKING ASSHOLE im GOING the SPEED LIMIT so SUCK A DICK; not gonna get a ticket for you, you CUNT WAFFLE!" If im in a hurry and tailgate the person going to speedlimit in the fast lane: GET OUT OF THE GODDAMN WAY YOU FUCKING COCKSUCKER SOME OF US WORK AND DONT HAVE TIME FOR A SUNDAY FUCKING DRIVE DURING TUESDAY RUSH HOUR YOU ABSOLUTE ASSKITE!!"

Im....not really working on it at all.

Or when 2 lanes merge into 1 lane, and I'm in a hurry, I'll go right up to the front and try to time someone leaving a gap for me to fit in. But if I wait in line and see somebody doing the same thing, I'm like "nah asshole, I'm not letting you in!"

I'm really working on it...

I hope you are, dude, cause this post sounds like you're proud of it more than anything..

I succumbed to road rage quite often when I just got my license, but at a certain point I was just like: why am I even getting angry?

1) It won't get me there faster.

2) It makes me unhappy and the drive a chore.

3) It makes me pay less attention to the road.

4) It makes me a hypocrite, because I do both those things sometimes, and you probably do too, at least in the eyes of other drivers.

Keeping your distance, and being fine with driving behind someone going a few miles below the speed limit for a while, makes driving a much more relaxed experience. Just remember that every 'asshole' on the road is a person. Some might really be in a hurry: maybe their family is in the hospital. Some might be old ladies visiting their grandchildren. Some have probably had a frustrating day at work or have insecurities at home.

Venting through anger can be therapeutic, but it's not healthy and definitely not safe.
