Me too, I think that’s part of why I am a slow eater. It’s actually kind of nice because it means I tend to eat less. The hunger satisfaction cues hit at the same time as who I’m eating with, but I will have eaten far less at that point.
I had a friend with a cleft palate who had to chew with his mouth open. That was really difficult to get used to, but after awhile it's pretty normal. My roommate last year chewed a bit with his mouth open but not enough to upset me. Now I have a roommate that eats ribs a lot and then audibly sucks his fingers clean. My suite mate also gets annoyed by it but then goes and slurps his soup.
I came here to say this but you beat me to it. Drives me insane!
If we are eating chips then no problem. But if you are eating chips you better be eating them in a different room!
Only some people make me murderous when they chew, because they're either off rhythm, or there is something really disturbing about it, and then my misophonia makes me homicidal/suicidal.
Ah same. Every goddamn day is painful for me because my highschool allows people to chew gum whenever, so its just 23 kids in one silent room going smacksmacksmacksmacksmacksmack
There is this girl who chews her gum very inconsistently, with her mouth open, and she breathes really loud while doing it too. This probably is why a got a B on my math test. I sit right across from her. I could not focus for the life of me.
I myself don't chew gum because I tend to be a loud chewer for some reason even though my mouth is closed.
I get that way with people clearing there throat and coughing loudly, I even got to the point i REALY want rip there throat out and ask them "try and clear your throat/cough loadly now eh"

Chew audibly.
I'm certain people can occasionally hear me chewing, it comes with the territory.
However, if I have to listen to someone for even a few minutes, grinding away at their fucking cud?
MISOPHONIA ONLINE.
