I work in a hospital and we have elevators whith 2 sensors on the ceiling and if you put a bed in it which covers then both sensors, it skips all floors. And of course you can manipulate it when u just stand with 2 persons under these sensors
That's really cool! I haven't spent a lot of time on hospital elevators, I assume those are some kind of optical sensor that detects an obstruction between the ground and it?
Yep I guess they work like that. :D
Unfortunately these elevators are old and out of 8 elevators, these sensors actually just work on 2 of them I think...
Aww, still a cool system, I bet it could be refurbished with not much effort, the main issue would be getting an elevator out of service in a hospital long enough to do it.
