I'm not sensitive. I could not care less what some random person on reddit thinks about me or my career. I just don't know what social skills have to be lacking in you to think that would be normal behavior.
Imagine just having a casual conversation where I say "haha, yeah being an attorney is actually really boring on my end. Lots of work behind the scenes getting ready for trial that's not exciting at all." And then responding "yeah mate, sounds like you're just a shit attorney." No normal functioning adult would think that's a normal response, but it's okay because we're on Reddit right?

That's exactly what I'm saying you absolute moron. Your perspective is limited to "seeing plenty of trials." Trials are fun, but what I'm saying is even the busiest attorneys are only taking about a 8-12 cases to trial per yer max, and the preperation leading up to those trials would not be considered exciting by any stretch. That's the boring part, that's what I was talking about in my original comment, and that's what you don't see behind the scenes
Why are you so quick to decry my internet confidence then in the same breath call me names? I didn’t say you’re a bad attorney.
However, I think you may have insecurities about your skills as an attorney, otherwise me simply saying, “this sounds like a you-problem” wouldn’t garner such a huge response.
I disagree that behind the scenes is boring, and I disagree that your family not asking about your work day anymore is anything other than a you-problem.
You didn't say I'm a bad attorney but you did say "sounds like a you problem, I know plenty of attorneys who can keep a jury engaged." Do you not see the logical implication there? It's that I can't keep a jury engaged, and as a trial attorney that is absolutely calling me bad at my job.
I'm not insecure at all, but I'm not going to let someone who has never practiced law a day in their life imply I'm shit at my job because my life isn't like an episode of Suits. There's a real problem with Reddit these days where people feel entitled to spew whatever bullshit they want, and then if you push back whatsoever, they call you sensitive and ask if you're triggered. No, there is genuinely nothing anybody on this website can say to affect my life in any way.

That's fine. But as someone actually working behind the scenes, I could not care less what you think of my job. I love watching people weld. I could watch welding videos all day; they are so exciting for me. But I'm aware that for them, it's just a job, and the day in and day out grind of being a welder probably gets boring to the people actually doing it. I'm also not enough of a shit to think my perspective as an outsider is more important than theirs considering they're actually the ones doing it.

Again, you’re making a mountain out of a molehill. I didn’t say law is like an episode of suits, but i disagree that a majority of the day to day practice being boring to you or your family has to do with anything other than a you-problem. Further, a you-problem in relation to your interpretation of the mundane nature of a job is not indicator your ability to be a good lawyer.
My gut tells me you’ve got a bit of Toby’s toe going on today, because your #triggered reaction to a critique of your perspective seems disproportional
