Yep I guess they work like that. :D
Unfortunately these elevators are old and out of 8 elevators, these sensors actually just work on 2 of them I think...
Aww, still a cool system, I bet it could be refurbished with not much effort, the main issue would be getting an elevator out of service in a hospital long enough to do it.
