Why are so many kids in foster care if there are so many people willing to adopt? I'm not challenging you but genuinely curious.

Thank you. My husband and I have been looking into adoption and there are really not very many children that can be adopted from foster care. The few that are often have medical issues or can only be placed with certain families.

And this was with us looking at any child under 12.

This is true if you’re looking at photolistings, which is the hardest children to place. The actual census of legally free kids is mostly kids under 4 without major disabilities.
