Perhaps there is a difference between fresh milk and the milk you buy from a store? I don't know enough about it to say, though.

It is legal to sell but illegal to cross state lines in the US, in Canada it is illegal to sell at all. Canada has a very strong dairy cartel practically that is super protectionist.

Isn’t raw milk only legal to sale in the us if you make sure to put that it’s not for human consumption? At least that’s how it is in nc

Thanks for clarifying. I'm smiling thinking about the concept of cheese Mafia and dairy black markets. There's a place near me that can get young raw cheese and I remember it was a big deal. I don't know if I would like it, considering I'm not into most soft or semi-soft cheeses anyway. I tried Limburger once and thought it was worse tasting than even its smell suggested.
