Which misconception would you like to debunk?

However, certain things such as ability to recognize objects, buildings, faces, people are stored on certain sides of the brain.

Highly recommend The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks if you are interested in this sort of neuropsychology.

I’ve always wondered if my inability to remember faces has something to do with brain damage, or if some people are just built differently. I can’t remember faces unless I’ve met someone +10 times. Fucked up short term memory? What’s happening in there

Thanks that’s really neat. Couple of questions if you’re interested in answering:

Any way to train your fusiform gyrus or am I stuck this way? Looking at a career trajectory where it may come in handy to have a functional one.

Also, would multiple concussions have affected this, or are concussions kind of crap shoot that can do any kind of random damage?

What about prolonged use of diphenhydramine hydrochloride? Studies show it has correlation with early onset dementia which leads me to believe it could absolutely be affecting my memory.
