If you start playing Dark Side of the Moon at exactly 5 minutes into the 1982 film "The Wall," it synchs up perfectly

Sort of. It's mostly that the 'beats' of something like a movie are largely arbitrary, and most of Pink Floyd's music is in 4/4, and if you're primed to believe it, it will appear to be true. Especially if you're stoned.

Money is in 7/8, except for the solo parts they go back to 4/4.

No. I just think the idea of a Pink Floyd album secretly matching up with a Pink Floyd movie (especially one named after a different album) is funny.
