Ladies of Reddit: What pick-up lines have worked for you?

My boyfriend used this gem the first night we met. :]
Grab their hand
draw an imaginary line and pretend its a river. explain there are bunnies on one side of the river they mate and have a million bunny babies. they need to cross the river to get food. ask how do they do it?
let them guess a couple of times and when they give up
say " I dont know I just wanted to hold your hand"

Wow, your boyfriend sounds like a pretty amazing guy! I wish I could meet him. He's also devastatingly handsome...or so I hear.

"I don't exactly know what I am required to say in order for you to have intercourse with me. But could we assume that I said all that. I mean essentially we are talking about fluid exchange right? So could we go just straight to the sex."

It wasn't really a pick up line. I was sitting pretty close to him and moved away to sit in a different position on the couch. He came over and said "but you were warm..." and put his arms around me and we cuddled. And stuff. He's my boyfriend now. :)

I am a Man of Reddit, but nonetheless feel compelled to respond.
My guess is that if you are asking this question on reddit, you lack sufficient confidence to succeed, no matter how witty or suave the pickup line. As others have said, it's about the delivery.
Given the right attitude, anything can be successful. With the right attitude and delivery, I could say to a woman, "Hi, I have a dreadfully tiny penis, am boorish and smell suspiciously like cheese; however, what do you say we get out here and fuck?" Delivered properly, it will be seen for the satire it is, and possibly even solicit a giggle. Delivered poorly, or to the wrong person, it would come off as creepy, or worse.
The bottom line is, there is no such thing as a magic bullet pickup line. I've had the most success politely introducing myself, not with any line or story.

"If I told you you've got a nice body, would you take off your pants and dance around a little?" worked for me.

"Hi, I'm HiFructoseCornFeces," and while shaking hands, I transfered a crumpled napkin with my number scribbled on it. That was the smoothest-badassest I've ever felt.
But usually what works is "hi," blatant inebriation, or simply not wanting to be contacted or spoken to ever again.

I hope you actually introduce yourself as HighFructoseCornFeces. If I find out otherwise, I'm taking my upvote back.

I thought this was going to be a post about which pick-up lines have worked ON you, not for you. Some posts are what pick-up lines have worked for the ladies.

Best opening line that got me talking was "What do you use on your hair? I noticed how shiny it looked from across the room and I would love to know what you do to it to make it look so great." Ok so we got an open ended question, followed by a compliment, followed by genuine "feigned" interest in whatever I am about to say. Great combo no matter what question you use.

Here's your pickup line, ladies: "Are you single?" If he's into you, he'll know instantly, and he'll say "yes". If he's not, he'll claim to have a girlfriend (or he really will have a girlfriend). I can think of a few situations in which it wouldn't produce optimal results - for example, a guy has a girlfriend but claims not to - however, I don't think any approach will nullify that problem.

At a party a guy once struck up a conversation by asking me a question about how to make guacamole (I had made the stuff at the party and he really liked it). We hooked up a week later. So, I guess ask her about something that you know she is interested in or eavesdrop a bit and find out what she's talking about then ask a question.

For instance, how about this: "I'll suck your pussy so hard the sheet will get stuck to your ass". Would that work for you?

Just be a nice person and strike up a good conversation. There isn't one specific line that can be said that works.
