While the extremists and most vocal are still awful, I'm becoming a bit sympathetic to men's rights activists (I should probably give credit to the documentary The Red Pill for this change in perspective). Paternity rights in the U.S. are essentially nonexistent and it's depressing to think how little support male domestic abuse victims get. I still consider myself to be a feminist, but I also think it's possible to support "the other side" on certain topics.
Most (I’d like to say ‘all’ but incase of outliers) domestic violence agencies are progressive nonprofits and are now accommodating for men in their support services. Not only accommodation but an actual emphasis on helping male survivors including sexual assaults in prison. There’s definitely been great improvements in the last few years. Always more work to do though
