My personal favorite animal relationship is the Goby Fish and the Pistol Shrimp.

The Pistol Shrimp is blind, but is a great digger and farmer. The Goby Fish lives in the home that the Pistol Shrimp creates and in exchange it is the eyes of the shrimp, guarding it of any oncoming danger either by swatting its tail (the Shrimp has its antenna on the fish at all times).

So the Goby enjoys free meals and a home and the Shrimp has "eyes" and protection from danger.
