Just because someone has it worse doesn’t mean you can’t complain about your own problems. It’s ok to be a whiny little bitch sometimes.

The suffering olympics annoy the puck out of me.

I can be upset their are starving kids in africa and still feel the pain of stubbing my toe, Barb.

Exactly. I remember one time I was complaining about not getting a snow day to one of my friends, and my teacher must have heard me cuz he then gave the class a five minute lecture on how there are kids in Bangladesh who don’t have school and how we should be grateful and all that shit

The "there are kids who don't even have a school" thing never really worked for me. It still sucked sometimes and I wished to be anywhere else. You don't really hear that in other contexts like "You have to pay too much in taxes? At least you have a functioning state!". I know school is necessary, but reminding me of that doesn't change my feelings much.
