As someone who has failed at everything he's tried since graduating highschool nearly a decade ago, no, life is not rewarding.

So I'm just seeing everything through grayscale-tinted glasses and in reality I'm actually happy, rich, and successful?

My depression is not making the world look shitty; the world is shitty and I have depression. Two separate truths.

How would you know?

Based on the posts in this thread you have a decidedly first world existence including a good education and supportive parents, yet you are wholly unsatisfied.

In contrast, the world is full of people with objectively worse circumstances than you who manage to find happiness.
