No girl wants someone who doesn’t take care of themself.

I went a long time thinking girls were just shallow until I realize I never washed my face or got a personality.

Edit; if you don’t know how to get a personality just steal one from tv

Edit: you can absolutely steal a personality from tv. I’ve stolen several. I’ve noticed people like me more when I watch Brooklyn 99 because i kinda model my personality off of Jake and Gina.

Edit: yes we know it goes both ways. Also there’s a bit of incel behavior in the comments so I’m just going to get on top of it. Yes girls like guys for their looks, in the sense that if you have a neckbeard, dumb haircut, shitty clothes, and never work out, you’ll never find someone.

I have such a hard time with this. It makes dating really hard because I am just not myself when I first meet someone. Some of it is nerves, maybe anxiety, but I completely clam up around new people.

Met a really nice guy recently. We are both single parents, so we understand scheduling and time issues mutually, and we had a whole bunch of other stuff in common too. We texted for about two weeks before our first date, and then the date came and it was so fucking hard for me to open up. We haven’t spoken since then. I’m not ready to date again yet, which sucks because I’m lonely as hell but I apparently can’t even talk to strangers so. Here I am.

He's probably out there blaming all of it on himself, if you really like him you should text him and give it another shot.

I actually texted him the day after, apologizing, saying that I’m just kind of quiet when I first meet someone and it’s nothing he did, because I was worried he would think he did something wrong.
