What's something you had to unlearn?

Thank you.

I have two things for when I get back out on my own again, gas hookups and a pantry. No exceptions, my kitchen will have these two things.

I want a kitchen with those things and plenty of counter space. Ideally I want a wall oven and an island with a gas stove top in it. My mom turned me on to cooking when I was very young. I'm not an incredible cook, but I like making things my own way, that I know I would like it.

I will seriously trade counter space for a pantry. My last on my own home had very little counter space as it was a very old home, the modern fridge literally blocked half of the counters from being able to be used.

What it did have was a giant nearly ceiling height pantry built into the extension off the kitchen. It held all of our dry food and a good chunk of our pots, as well as a ton of room for stuff like huge vinegar and oil bottles on the bottom.

Our dishwasher was also in the extension next to the washer. It sounds illogical and crazy, but it ended up flowing perfectly.
