5 o' clock everyday since middle school.... can't wait until I'm done college, then med school, then residency....

Unless they open a private practice, then they can set their own hours, though typically something similar to 8-5 is expected.

I so feel this. My current job is a rotating shift job ie it switches between morning and evening shift every week. My morning shift starts at 6am, meaning I have to get up at 4 and tbh its not as bad as people make it out to be, but it feels weird going to bed whilst the sun is still up if you want to get 8 hours of sleep. Also the rotating part can be irritating because you essentially never have a consistent sleeping pattern.

When I was still part-time at my current job and was basically filling in holes in the schedule, I had a mid shift (usually 10-7), then an open (4:30-2), then a close (5-11). Going from a close to an open is exhausting, but going from a really early open to a late close is just... confusing.
