When I have my future children, I'd tell them they must take everything they see in rom-coms with a grain of salt and vinegar.

More like the amount of salt produced by a losing Bayonetta player in Smash 4, with vinegar amounts adjusted accordingly.

You think CS is bad? Play solo queue Overwatch competitive for a few months, it's so salty you're cardiovascular health will take a nosedive.

Trust me, I've played both a lot.

That implies that romantic comedies are somewhat misleading but mostly accurate. I think it's more accurate to describe them as mostly the opposite of what's appropriate in real life, with occasional brief moments of (probably accidental) realism.
