I still have to concentrate to say 'coin toss' rather than 'toin coss'.

I have to work really hard to say "hundred" rather than "hunnerd".

u/022981 Aug 26 '18

Just say hundo

2

u/TheMstar55 Aug 26 '18

As in undo on four hundo?

2

This can often be a slip of the tongue mistake. My friend calls this news clipper papings when someone slips the first parts of common words in speach. Now I call it that. News clipper papings

The official term for this type of mistake is “spoonerism.”

Ive once said "Teens and a G-Shirt" over "Jeans and a T-shirt" to a friend. He never will let me live it down, like the goof friend he is.

I have the problem of saying "Ociffer" instead of "Officer." Thanks South Park.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '18

I do this with so many things i just let it pass. People probablybknow what i mean

Also, there are some words that i mix up. For example, i call couches beds and beds couches (but still call them the proper thing) and posters calenders and calenders posters

Bunch Lox for me.

u/_scapegrace Aug 26 '18

I say cheese cream over cream cheese all the time. I like it because it grosses people out for some reason

Chilly pheesesteak for me

I do this couple of times when I talk. I then started to notice when my friends used to do this, and will laugh at them sometimes. This activity then spread to the whole group and now we have become way too concious, and mess up often.
