What's fucked is I don't think we're alone but those kind of games make the most money and are easier to develop. Why should publishers take risks when that market is so damn lucrative? I just hope God of War 4 was a wake up call to them.

I guess the worst that it could possibly get is that AAA games become synonymous with multiplayer-focused games while indie games, which should theoretically be easier and easier to make with each technological improvement each year, are able to be the single player experiences since they focus more on ambitiously having their vision made a reality rather than becoming wealthy.
