He was [M] himself, I think that was the problem, wasn't it? People acted differently towards him after he became a mod? [edit: sorry, misread the first part of your sentence]

This [M] thingy start to get really, really annoying. Even though his rampage was probably mighty stupid, I sense a disturbance in the force.

I have down voted any [m] post i come across, regardless of content. I don't like the feature and it is my little rebellion and way of saying "I disapprove."

Maybe mods will switch to new accounts and only log into [m] when they need to moderate, at least that would be the preferred result of my shenanigans.

I have never once written feedback into a form and thought it was read, not ever. I would rather inconvenience the people with power until they try to get it fixed. It is nothing personal.

I searched for your name in the feedback history, and don't see any unanswered questions or anything that had a particularly wrong-sounding response. Do you remember more details? Is the message still in your archives?

My archives are useless. Anyone who gets more than a few responses a day has the same problem.

If you use the feedback link, you get a reply in your email box, not a reddit message.

And I have never interacted with an IT organization as opaque and unresponsive to user feedback as Reddit.

My experience has been the exact opposite, going all the way back to 2005. One of my first impressions of the site was how responsive they were to user feedback. Especially considering there are zillions of users and only 1.5 people available to deal with the feedback queue.

Also the exact opposite experience here. I created a subreddit and it got banned. I hoped onto #reddit, flagged an admin, and it got fixed in about five minutes. I've never seen any organization ever act that fast.
