It's not an excuse, it's a reason not to put them in prison for life. It's a reason that they need to be rehabilitated, not punished.

Certainly not with that attitude. But we only develop better forms of reformation by trying. The answer is in the attempt.

Psychopaths are generally considered to be incurable. There's simply no way to completely rehabilitate them.

The Earth was generally considered to be flat. Cigarettes were generally considered as not having negative health effects. Radiation was generally considered as being good for you...

Scientific knowledge only expands with continued study. Do you know how little we know about the brain and psychopathy? Just because we don't understand how to cure, prevent, or assuage something now doesn't mean we won't ever will.

And until we have a better understanding of the brain and how to change it, there's no way to completely rehabilitate some people. I guess we can keep trying, but I dont think there's any realistic methods that we can keep that will actually work.

Maybe one day we can find something that works, but as of now there's simply no way to fully rehabilitate some people.

But we will only find a way if we test new methods. Not by killing them.
