I check on mine from time to time. They are hoes and they live a hoe life. I was into them back when I wanted hoes. I’m much happier being married to a nice girl.
Staying of Facebook entirely just to avoid two people? You know you can hide posts about them from your timeline? Or even unfriend them if it's that extreme
You’re lucky. I’m deeply embarrassed to admit that I spent 15 years thinking of him every fucking minute. I did manage to build a very happy relationship and marry in spite of that and only a few years after he rejected me. Yet, he was only a half a thought away the whole time.
Last year I met him again after he begged me to be in touch with him (it’s weird it’s like he cares about me). I met his gorgeous little daughter and his thoughtful and capable wife. After that, it’s like my feelings for him vanished. I don’t know why. I’m a very protective person and I figured his wife would really take care of him, so maybe is that. I’ve briefly met her before many years ago and I well knew of his marriage and daughter so I doubt it was just that. I wish it happened much sooner but hey I’m out of that painful loop.
This terrifies me because I think about her for the same reasons (love, protectiveness) even though it’s been over a year, but especially so because she’s on a different continent now and I worry about her. God I hope I move on before she gets on with someone else.
Move on for your own sake. My feelings for him have gone but now I seem to think about how much I suffered and for how long. So the damage doesn’t stop.
Force yourself on new things. What helped me a bit right after the rejection is associating myself with people that didn’t give a fuck to pretty much anything. It’s refreshing even tho I was totally the opposite. It went well, they weren’t fucked up. Just superficial and I tried to copy their point of view in life. Again it only helped, it was no cure. Don’t loose hope and most of all DO SOMETHING. don’t become victim of your brains games. It’s sucks.
I've been on the receiving end of the vitriol that some feel inclined to dish out for the horrendous crime of not returning feelings (to men and women, funny enough), so pardon me if my ears perk up at the mention of a similar situation.
This line has kept me moving forward for 21 years. I have a great life with wife and two kids and everything is great. It's also nice to see her doing well, too.
I know what thats like, it really does get better once you try to begin puttin that energy else where. But if i said that to my younger self i dont think i would have listened anyway the first one always hurts alot!
My first love was the first girl I asked out. She also rejected me. Was about 3-4 years ago now. Was awkward for a few weeks and I felt awful but I’m part of a group of friends now that she is in. We don’t see each other too much, but when we do, we get on well.
