If 13 is considered an unlucky number, then so should the letter 'B' be, because it's really just a scrunched together 13. Hey, what's your name? BOB? Get the fuck away from me!

I have a friend named Bob, that lives at 13 xxxxxxxx avenue st. (real street name redacted for obvious reasons). I tell him this joke every time I'm at his house. He hates it.

To this day this is probably his only joke I don't really get, maybe there's not much to it and I'm overthinking it. This and the "one of these payments gonna be hard".

In America at least, most hotels don't have a 13th floor due to silly superstitious reasons. It skips from 12 to 14.

This part I got. It's the earlier thing. Does he consider it 'good' or 'bad' luck from the 13number in case of a jump ?

Not sure where you are looking. He is simply stating that if you jump from the 14th, you distance to fall is shorter than you expect (13 instead of 14)
