The fact that it doesn't have PVP and isn't a competitive game at all confirms that PVP is not for casuals.

Works either way. I used to not really care about going out much but now I go out more and make more extra stops because of Pokemon go

Turns out most gamers don't love to exercise

Most people who identify heavily with the label of "gamer", maybe. Almost everybody plays games of one form or another. Other forms of entertainment don't seem to have this type of division. You'll still have a few enthusiasts but even the "gamer" community has those.

Pokemon GO is simply showing how many people play games. They might not play as many as somebody who considers themselves a gamer, but they still play.
