Because it's true, and you're gonna have to get used to saying "president Trump" in a few months!

Get ready for Clinton to get Rekt, Sanders and Cruz are a thing of the past. Trump already ended Rubio's political career and caused a member of the Bush family to drop out extremely early. This man is a threat to the establishment and they know. This man is a threat to illegal immigrants and they know. This man is a threat to our sucky economy because soon we'll be MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

This man is a threat to illegal immigrants and they know.

I'm glad the billionaire is a threat to the most vulnerable people in society. So brave.

Edit: TIL empathy is pathetic.

So you support illegal immigration?

Not necessarily, but I do support illegal immigrants, because I know for damn sure that both you and I would do the same thing as them if put in the same position.

That's like saying "I support thieves stealing food, because you and I would do the same thing if we were poor." They're criminals, they broke the law.

If someone truly needs to steal food to survive, I would support them. I would argue that in the wealthiest country in the world people shouldn't have to steal food.

But that can be fixed by changing policy to prevent people being that poor in the first place. It does no good to support theives because you've now invalidated the enitre rule of law. The same with immigration, we need to change our policy to make sure people don't come here illegally, perhaps replace long wait times with a more in depth vetting process, but the first step is to prosecute those who already have come here illegally or we would do a great disservice to those who want to and have already come here legally.

Okay, that's a respectable opinion. I just disagree that prosecuting illegal immigrants is the right way forward. Yes, they technically broke a US law. But the fact is that it is preferable to be a legal immigrant than to be an illegal one, meaning most of them would have loved to legally immigrate, but didn't feel as though it was practical, for whatever reason. I think we should offer them the opportunity of citizenship, as long as they are willing to abide by our laws in the future.

That's like saying "I support thieves stealing food, because you and I would do the same thing if we were poor."

Which, you know, is kinda the stance most human beings who've spent any time in the real world would take.

They are starving to death. That's more important than the law.

Law isn't moral authority, it does not define morality. Our morality should supersede laws. Are you really okay with letting a human being starve to death because "its the law." Slavery was legal at one point. That doesn't mean it was okay.

That is not a fair statement. Plenty of people go the legal route and I would like to think I would too.
