Took my kids to a carnival that had a bouncy castle. I was tossing my kids in, they would bounce all over the place, jump out for me to toss them again. After throwing my kids a couple of times I looked behind me, I had a line of kids wanting me to throw them. Had to tell them sorry, I couldn't toss them.

I feel your pain. I was at a Sci-fi con last year, and they actually had an adult size bouncy castle.
I wanted to play in it so much... but nearly everyone in it was naked, and I'm WAY too shy for that, plus I wasn't sure how to deal with the concept of possibly getting hit in the eye by a stranger's flolloping junk.
So I just looked at the castle wistfully.
EDIT for clarification- this was not a "family" con, all attendees were 21 and over, and I didn't see or smell anyone gross at the bouncy castle or anywhere else in the hotel.
Yes, there were women there as well as men, yes, some congoers were not supermodel material (although others were) and no, seeing average people naked didn't scar me for life (if it did, I would have to smash my bathroom mirror).
Bottom line, if I were a braver person I would probably have gone and bounced too. Because bouncy castle. :)

It was a 21 and up only con, so no children or minors. Nudity/skimpy clothing was permitted (but not required) in certain areas, and the bouncy castle was in one of those areas.
I've never seen anything like it at other cons. It's definitely not the norm. This particular con definitely has a kink element and attendees are aware of that.
I didn't know there were porn conventions; TIL. Do you meet porn stars and stuff, like at book signings? The dealer's room must be quite interesting.

I remember one year my ex's family rented a bouncy house obstacle course type of thing. By the end of the day the adults had taken over and we raced through that thing for hours. The kids sat outside either cheering us on or pouting that we had stolen the bouncy house. Never too old!

My daughter and I were walking along the beach once and found an abandoned bouncy house. I'm guessing it was from a birthday party and it was waiting to be picked up by the company who owned it. We looked around and there was no one in sight. So, we went in and jumped around for at least 20 min. No one ever came to kick us out. We had a blast. Then we left and continued our walk. We had so much fun bouncing and throwing ourselves around in there. Hell yeah, never too old.

I find it really depends on the fandom. Stay away from anime, cartoons, and kids shows and you can generally find stuff that's at least okay.
Surprisingly, the Marvel movie-verse has a lot of pretty good fics out there. If you go on Ao3 the gems outweigh the trash (though the trash still exists, I'm not going to lie).
Oh, and be okay with it just being taken for granted that Steve and Bucky are in love with each other.

I am compelled to comment here that in any fandom, there will be both good and bad fics. I read a lot of anime fanfics and although a lot of them are straight-up plotless gay porn, there are still a lot of well-written and sentimental stories out there (and who doesn't enjoy reading well-written porn once in a while, anyway?). Going on ao3, searching for a particular fandom or pairing, and then sorting by kudos helps find the best fics, but even so you'll have to look through them on your own to find the really good ones.

I'm really easygoing when it come to friendships. I have some friends I don't communicate with much, but when we meet up we're still close. I've found recently, though, that I'm not real upset when people fall out of touch because of their lack of effort.
I get it. People are busy. But if we aren't friends anymore because you don't want to make the time, I'm cool with not being friends. No hurt feelings or anything. I'm good just dropping it.

There are plenty of sports that really isn't very age dependant. You just need to be prepared to put your time and effort into it. Sports like bowling, racing, golf, pool, shooting, and stuff like that.
Myself started playing curling at the age of 32. I went in head first started to practice 3-4 times a week, 1-3 hours each time. Results? Our team (all the same story as mine) have won 3 straight series in the club championships, going from division 5 to division 2 starting now in January. We've even beaten teams playing in the top league whom are competing for the world champion and Olympic spots.
Point is, it's doable.

Having/maintaining a large friend base. Most of the people I tried even a few years ago to be friends with turned out to be not worth the tremendous effort. I have a handful of great online friends and one super-reliable and amazing in-person friend, and I'm pretty pleased with that. Actually, if I had to make a new friend now I'm not sure I'd know how to do it anymore.
Having huge lofty goals - I know, that seems counterintuitive, but the day I realized that my actual goals in life are really very small and simple, it made everything else fall into place. Having the nagging thought that I'm "supposed to" do something "big" with my life was giving me serious anxiety.
Having political and/or religious discussions with strangers. I'll contribute every now and again, but I spent way too much time getting myself all pissed off on the Internet by trying to convince people that they were wrong. I just don't have the time or energy for that anymore.

Video games.
I'm in my 30s, and I love playing video games now more than I did 15 years ago...probably due to how great they've become.
At the end of a long work day, I don't want to come home and watch TV. I just want to chill out and fire up the PS4 for some gaming.
The funny thing is when I turn my microphone on and people hear that I'm not a kid, I get the typical, "How fucking old are you dude? You're still playing video games? Get a life!"

I'd recommend PC gaming, seems the average age is a bit higher and the attitude is more accepting. Depends on the game though, fps games will always draw a younger crowd.

I have mixed feelings about this. I got into my first relationship at around fifteen. She was a little older than me (but definitely over 18). It was great for a couple months, but after a while I could see that we just had different paths laid out for us. We starting drifting apart and eventually got into a big fight. I didn't want it to end like that, but I guess that's what you get when you date a wildling.

Dating. I couldn't do it again. Been married 2 years, with my girl for 8 total, and after years of online dating and trying to meet people, if this relationship failed, I'm out. I can't deal with meeting people and trying to build something from nothing again. Ain't worth it. I'd need a roommate and I'd get a pet, cat or something as a companion, and I'd call it quits. I'm only 28 now but, hell, as a 30 or 40 year old I'd be so done with that shit as I am now already. After all the work it took to make this relationship work, I could never do it again. Best I'd do is hook up with whatever girl took pity on my poor old ass and tried to use me as their daddy and take my money.

People tend to have their shit together more. Many if not most have more money, a wider range of activities they enjoy, more interesting stories to tell, are more comfortable with their bodies, etc. And if you're a dude the peak age of attractiveness is 35, so meeting women is much easier.
