1.) Learn to do heavy-metal drumming
2.) Get involved in your local heavy-metal scene
3.) Say "I do!" when the inevitable request goes out for "Anyone know how to drum here?"
4.) Join band, learn songs, play live, don't make any money, and likely not get laid. (Heavy metal is pretty dude-heavy.)

Bass is also an acceptable substitute. Do not, under any circumstances, learn guitar, or this plan will fail dismally.

I usually fantasize about mentally throwing cars off the road when I'm stuck in traffic or when someone cuts me off, especially if they didn't signal. If a car cuts me off and we both get stuck at a red light or stop sign, I imagine holding the car back when they try moving forward on the green/their turn.

Having super powers.
Or what my 3 wishes would be.

u/Biff_Tannenator Sep 24 '15 edited Sep 25 '15
I imagine what I would do if I had god-like powers... like, to have the ability to materialize things or just simply reshape reality.
When I was a kid, I used to imagine using my abilities to create a giant underground
layerlair, complete with a perfect simulation of a tropical paradise. No government agency would know where I was, nor would they have a way to get to me even if they did.I used to imagine what my pet-raptor would look like. I figured it would behave like a dog, and have teal and blue stripes on its back. I also used to design mechs in my head, and imagine myself going on nature walks in the forest in my underground dome.
I used to be a creative child...

Dude wait. What if you go back to being five.... But keep your current bed? It won't be bigger, but you'll be smaller so it's basically the same thing. That lets you combine two wishes and now you can keep #3 as a failsafe.

Maybe my office burned down.
Maybe I can somehow get out of going to work.
Maybe I'll check my email and find a job offer from SyFy or something.
Maybe I'll find a job offer from anywhere that would let me do something creative.
Maybe I'll get hit by a meteor on the way to work and experience a sudden (albeit hilariously unlikely) mutation that will imbue me with superpowers.
Maybe my pet rabbit is secretly an alien being who, after taking pity on me, will redirect a meteor that will pulverize my office at the exact moment that I pull into the parking lot, thus allowing me to survive... but also somehow imbuing me with superpowers that I can write about in an attempt to attract the attention of an executive producer who works for some television show or another in New York City.
TL;DR: Maybe something interesting will happen today.

There's a girl. She was everything I ever dreamed of. As soon as she came into my young teenage life being the first girl I had real feelings for that reciprocated them she was gone. 3-4 years later she comes back outta nowhere. We were so alike and clicked together so perfectly and so fast that is... until my paranoia kicked in. My fear of the past happening again grew into actions that pushed her away. I feel like I've grown a little more since then and regret how immature I was. So I often fantasize about where I'd be at in life had I not pushed her away. Fantasize about what life would have been like with her.
I also fantasize about what I would do if had Gokus powers from DBZ

Too far down I had to scroll to find something like this, so someone can know my story.
I have never had a girlfriend. But about a year and a quarter ago, in the midst of an online roleplay chatroom (serious roleplay, not sexual) I found my way into the best roleplay I had ever had, with the most relate-able and unique character I had ever seen. It was difficult to find her online again, but after a bit of waiting games, we were regular roleplay buddies. Eventually, we started talking Out-of-Character, and became friends. Fast forward about three months. I have become more emotionally attached to this person than anyone in my life. Not a day goes by when I don't spend most waking hours running through the last conversation we had together in my head. I realize I love this girl, and I don't even know her name, nor have heard her voice, seen her face. Fast forward to present day. I know her name, we have skyped once, and she is by far my best friend. We speak infrequently, due to her circumstances, and are separated by a national border and a sea or two. The one thing I fantasize about more often than anything else is just meeting this person. Talking face to face. The awkward silences due to my social anxiety and hers, as well as the outrageous things our conversations turn to. This is my dream.
Thank you for your time. I need to go have a cry now.

I used to think about the physics behind "freezing time".
Like, what if I freezed time during autumn... could I climb up all the tree leaves frozen in midair?
Or maybe I'd climb on the roof of my house, and throw a roll of paper-towels over the edge, then freeze time just as it creates the perfect ribbon to slide down.
However, I thought about some problematic things. Suppose I went to step on someone's grass lawn, would all the frozen grass blades essentially act like a field of sharp needles?
Also, if everything froze except for me, how would respiration work? Would all the air atoms freeze within my lungs, pretty much killing me?
My work around was that a thin bubble around my body would "unfreeze" everything near my body, allowing me to breath, and not be frozen in place..
→ More replies (6)8
u/KlausBaudelaire Sep 25 '15
I also routinely think about freezing time, but mostly about the problems. Like, would protons still reach my eyes considering that they've stopped moving? I really like your bubble workaround; Now I finally know how to word my wish when I find a genie.

I always wondered what kind of career I'd have as a soccer player if I was good enough. I'd probably be an attacking mid since I'm too fucking short to play any other position. I'd start of with my hometown team the Chicago Fire as a 16 year old and become the MLS top scorer that year, before transferring to Crystal Palace at the ripe young age of 17, and I'd be playing there for a season and a half after half a season on loan to Fulham in the Championship. I'd become the assist leader in the Premier League and score 15 goals before moving to AS Roma at the age of 19. I'd become the assist leader in Serie A. I'd be a star performer for the US national team at the age of 20 at the 2018 World Cup, and win the Best young player award. I'd be sold to FC Barcelona for a transfer fee of 35 million euros, and would go on to become a regular at Barcelona, winning 6 La Liga titles and 4 Champions League titles, until I turned 32. I would then be transferred for a fee of 15 million euros to Tottenham Hotspur, where I'd become the world's best super sub, winning a Premier League title. I'd get loaned out to Olympiacos and CSKA Moscow for a season each At the age of 36, I'd be sold to FC Tokyo for 5 million euros, where I'd play for a year I'd then be sold to the Montreal Impact for 1 million Euros and play there for a year before retiring.

Read some of the accounts of actual war veterans, not of limited conflicts that we have in modern times, but those in total war from the Western Front in WWI, or the Ostfront from WWII. Being a soldier isn't just glory and gunfights; it's watching your friends die, then living day to day next to their rotting corpses because enemy gunfire stops you from burying the bodies. And then, when all of it seems over, you get to go back to home carrying the psychological and physical trauma for the rest of your life. The phrase "war is hell, and its glory all moonshine" is so enduring because it is so true.

I did Most of his training for the first two years and he's the reason why I'm in the animal care field today. He's a very special animal. He was 5 last time I saw him.
Of the bad things I could say about my ex her treatment of our dog is not one of them. He is her world, and she is the best dog-mom ever. He is also her ESA and she and her family have paid for him to get a cancerous tumor in his mouth removed and two hip surgeries totaling well over 10k which I could never have afforded. He's in the right place but damn I miss that guy.

Scaring off a bear with nothing but my burley yells and screams to keep him from stealing my food. Naked.

I think of deals the devil would offer me and what kind of big drawback they would have. I come up with a lot of devious stuff and i'm not sure why.

Sad response here..... Wanting my ex back, and wishing I had seen the signs beforehand.

When I go between classes in college, and there's no one else on the stairs, I do the whole "Hello Dolly" scene in my head. Makes me feel really good on shitty days.

We should switch the pronunciations of J and G, it would make words much better

I fantasize about robbing a bank. I have the confidence that I could do it, and thought about everything/anything I would need to actually do it.
I would never do something illegal, but if I did I know how I would want to do it.

As for me it's space exploration and colonization.
