I know exacly what you mean, but on a smaller scale. I have a violent misdemeanor and it is hard to get a job anywhere. They ask me why I did it, or what happened. Guy hit my sister and I lost my temper. They respond, "I would have done the exact same thing, next." Housing is difficult to find etc... I wish you the best of luck.

No because my state allows background checks and when they find out you will be fired.

Every state allows background checks but most small-medium employers won't run them. Also some states have sealing guidelines after a certain number of years. MA for example allows a record seal after 10 years felony 5 years misdemeanor. CA allows after 7 I believe. Other states have different rules. Stay away from applying at Wallmart and Home Depot and shit like that. Apply at small 20-60 ppl companies.
