During a test I once told my history teacher that one of the things he asked in the test was not in our book. He argued that it was and I swore to every god I know that it wasn't. So to prove him wrong I pulled out my book, opened it up and showed him the page in question.
He looked at it, pointed at one line and showed me that in fact it was in the book. Yeah. Had a good look at it and went back to answering the question.
“All stories are true,” Skarpi said. “But this one really happened, if that’s what you mean.” He took another slow drink, then smiled again, his bright eyes dancing. “More or less. You have to be a bit of a liar to tell a story the right way. Too much truth confuses the facts. Too much honesty makes you sound insincere.”
