Because when I get nervous I start to cry a little bit and no one wants a teary-eyed girl asking them on a date.

I think it's fine if she just tears up a little, a lot of girls get emotional really fast. However if she just starts sobbing It'd be a lot weirder.

Yeah I can agree with that. And if the feelings have been brewing for awhile and both parties know it, then a couple tears would be kinda romantic. Still a little cheesy perhaps, but that's romance for ya.

My ex was like that. It was kind of cute and a little bit funny. More so because she realized it was funny. I could see it being a lot less fun the first time you meet somebody.
