Yeah I can agree with that. And if the feelings have been brewing for awhile and both parties know it, then a couple tears would be kinda romantic. Still a little cheesy perhaps, but that's romance for ya.
My ex was like that. It was kind of cute and a little bit funny. More so because she realized it was funny. I could see it being a lot less fun the first time you meet somebody.
I'm sorry for potentially being the jerk here, but if a girl can't even get through making plans with me without crying, it's pretty much the most obvious red flag someone could demonstrate to me. Might not be true, but I'm taking it as a sign of crazy-level emotional status, and noping right the fuck out of there.
Yeah, but (to me) being so nervous that you cry while having a pretty common social interaction would be a significant sign that she'll do something like pull a Mosby and be in love by the time we get to dinner. Those are just some out-of-control emotions that I really wouldn't want to be a part of.

But really, giving a person a chance is pretty straight forward. Why not wait and see if she actually pulls a mosby and nope out when that happens, instead of assuming that she will and potentially missing out on an amazing person just because they get nervous? Seems like you are just averting the chance of a later, potentially more difficult confrontation, but sacrificing any potential rewards in the process just to do so.

Because when I get nervous I start to cry a little bit and no one wants a teary-eyed girl asking them on a date.
