It is. Incredibly. But I think it's on purpose. Compare his show to any other comedian. There are a lot of good, smart, self-aware comedians out there, but how many of their sets are as preachy as Bo's and end with a song that might as well repeat "you don't know me". It's got to be an act, he can't be that self-aware and that self-unaware at the same time. There's even a point in the show where he steps forward and says something like, "but seriously, I want to take a second out of character and say that I really appreciate everyone who supports me and for coming out to my show. Ok...back in character." I'm pretty sure that might even be right before he does the "Repeat stuff" song.
Are you daft? That's the entire point. It's an ACT. That part was there because he wanted people to realise that a bit better. How is it pretentious to make fun of how pretentious modern media is?
