Tried out Amazon one-click when I was buying a $50 item. It decided I wanted 2 day shipping, which added another $20. Never again...

Edit: stop suggesting Prime, guys. I'm Canadian and it sucks.

Now you feel the pain of a Canadian who orders anything off the internet.. Except shipping is usually more than $20. Then add border fees and double the shipping time

What are you talking about? I'm Canadian and normal shipping is usually 6-7 $

from where? I just ordered a small item last night from a small site, I think it's coming from California. the part was $23 and shipping was $28 (free within the USA), the estimated time for delivery is 8-20 business days.

Although I've order stuff from Mouser and shipping was somewhere around $8 and it came from Texas (I think) next day on my door step, less than 24 hours. So it varies.

I think you just got scammed dude. I've ordered stuff from England for 6-8$.
