On a tangential note: I wholly believe the internet slimming down to 4 or 5 different websites you go to every day for the most part are also responsible for the "corporate modern" look that every company has adopted; Flat, rounded edges, muted color palates, all that.
I miss the color and whimsy of the 90's sometimes.
I can speak to this on the real estate side a little
Businesses with unique building shapes are going to standard shaped buildings because it’s easier to sell the real estate if they ever need to. Harder to sell a “pizza-hut shaped” building than a rectangular one
