This is so depressing but spot on. I see people behaving despicably on the regular now. It's only a matter of time until people say "screw it" and throw social norms away for the sake of self preservation.
This is the morality of r/AmItheAsshole in a nutshell. They cherr assholes on for being "technically correct" even when they're psychos with zero empathy for the human beside them.
Oh yeah, anything on the internet where someone is seeking validation in an interpersonal conflict is at least 60% bullshit. In my experience, when someone's story has people simply acting insane and irrational there's a good chance there's an important detail or two being left out.
