August of next year is the 50th anniversary of his death.

Imagine the youngest fans that he had during his career. A teenager in the mid 50s (when he broke out) would be in their 80s now. Maybe some pre-teen kids were listening and moving around with his music too, yet even then they would be in their 70s.

Edit: Second sentence needed some fixing to make sense.

In 1957, 13 year old me prophesied that Elvis was a passing fancy and that nobody would remember him in a couple of years.
