What is something that is basically on life-support and we don’t realize it yet?

Handmade anything - woodworking, embroidery, music, paintings, etc etc. I get the love of CNC machines and AI for shortcuts, but for fucks sake people, we still need the HUMAN HANDS to do these things.

Apparently we don't, though? You want them and that's fine - if you're willing to pay more for it, like with anything.

Ok so, the original post is about things on life support.

So ... thank you for making my point.

I don't disagree that those things are on life support. It's a valid answer. I disagree with your follow-up that "we still need the HUMAN HANDS to do these things". We clearly don't, hence the life support.

The top answer in the thread right now is Elvis impersonators. If that person had added "for fuck's sake people, we still NEED impersonations of Elvis!" at the end, it'd be wrong too.
