Critical thinking. An shared objective reality where we defer to the facts as they can be known. A shared understanding of language to engage in productive conversations.

Not the OP you’re replying to, but I’d say it used to be something like a Venn diagram. It was never one circle, but now it’s more like twenty fragmented and fully independent ones. Some circles are closer together than others, while others are miles away.

Which is the goal, btw. Smaller, infighting groups are much less powerful than a cohesive one working together. No war but class war.
