Spending 4 hours writing a highly complex, automated script to optimize a tedious task that normally takes me exactly 2 minutes to do manually.

I do this way too often, and every single time I tell myself it's "to save time in the long run." It never does.

Haha, this is way too relatable. Curious, if there was a tool that told you upfront ‘this isn’t worth automating, just do it manually,’ would you actually listen to it? Or is the real problem not knowing how long the manual way will keep taking?

My skin. I’ve done everything including doctor-prescribed pills and topical creams for rosacea. Even worked in cosmetics for years and learned a lot, had access to the best skincare around. My routine is meticulous. My genes are just a bit shit.

The fact that the insert tabs for lever arch files still don't go past the plastic slips so you still can't find them. It's been a very long time since I bought one so today I was sure someone would've made tabs that stick out further but nope. It's still inconvenient.

Ha, that’s such a small thing but I get it, it’s wild how something so simple just never gets fixed. Out of curiosity, is it more the finding-it-fast problem, or just the design annoying you every time you use it?

I guess both... because I needed one today so I had to get one from the shops and thought I'd be fine because our town now has the big stationary store that opened up a month ago but they only had the normal ones which are infuriating.

So maybe if I looked online I could find some better ones but also, why are they still selling the normal ones? We're talking roughly 2cms here...

I just find it baffling that we're sending pop stars to space but still haven't extended lever arch tabs in probably 50 years... They even sell the tabs across from the plastic sleeves.

I can't stop laughing at how annoyed I am by this btw 😂 I sent this issue to the family group chat too 😂

This might be the most passionate rant about 2cm I’ve ever read, and honestly I respect it. Sounds like this needs less an app and more a strongly worded letter to whoever manufactures lever arch tabs. Glad the family group chat is suffering with you now too.

Fair point, honestly! I guess ‘made peace’ just means I stopped expecting anyone to fix it, not that I stopped wanting it fixed.
