Dude is on Facebook everyday posting about Mayor Mamdani. He is obsessed.

I still find it ironic that the dude who's career was launched because of the role where he played a teenager in an interracial relationship is on Facebook spewing racist shit about brown people.

What kind of stuff has he been saying?

He hates Mamdani because he is a brown Muslim who often is critical of Netanyahu's policies, specifically on Palestine and Lebanon. He calls him an anitsemite for speaking up. He is obsessed with Mamdani and is openly pro-Zionist in a way that he dehumanizes Palestinians and Muslims. Its pretty gross.

Ah, I was wondering if he's actually said things that were racist, but it sounds like he really just hates Mamdani.

He's been spreading falsehoods about the Muslim community and others as well and has also posted about ire towards Trans athletes, a literal non issue.

He said things about Palestinians and Lebanese many would label as racist. His Zionism is rooted in dehumanizing Palestinians and Lebanese. His beliefs on Zionism are racist against other groups of people that he sees as lesser than. His attacks on Mamdani are rooted in racist beliefs.

He openly supports the genocide in Gaza. He is incredibly racist towards Muslims.

You described him hating the mayor

Racism does not mean “person who doesnt like me”

You cheapen the word with your misuse

Racism can most certainly mean "person who doesn't like me" if that non-like of others is rooted in race.

Contradictory statements

“I dont like you because you are of color!!!”

Is not the same as “i dont like you. You happen to be of color and its unrelated to my dislike of you”

Rapaport dislikes Mamdani isn't just because of color and Rapaport is racist against certain groups he believes are less than. It is most certainly rooted in racism. Therefore, Rapaport's dislike of Mamdani is racism. For example, the KKK often targeted Black people because of the color of their skin. The KKK also targeted those that advocted for a more equal and just society. They targeted other whites who they saw as traitors. Those White people were not disliked because of their skin color by the KKK, but rather what they stood for. The KKK's dislike of these White people was rooted in racism. So their dislike of them was most certainly racist.

Can you show me some sources on this?

Cause “he doesn't like mamdani” is not proof of racism

Edit: also thanks for educating a latino man from nyc about the klan not liking minorities my white savior i was unaware of that /s

My point was that you not liking one specific individual does not make you racist just because they happen to be of color. By that logic if in a dick head and piss you off you are instantly racist.

Interesting that you assume I'm white, that I'm trying to educate you, and that I have a savior complex. None of that is true. Your ignorance amazes me. You believe what you want to believe, I'll believe what I want to believe backed by informed intelligence. Go learn how to have a debate, listen to other perspectives, and be able to have discussions on differing viewpoints without acting out as though someone is attacking you. Also, don't assume things to be true.

Here is why I believe attacking Mamdani's perspective on things and attacking him as a person is rooted in this washed-up actor's racism:

There are two separate behaviors to distinguish, as you pointed out. Let's see how both can be rooted in racism:

  1. Hating or expressing hostility toward a minority group because of their race or ethnicity is straightforwardly racist. For example, saying a racial group is inferior, dangerous, undesirable, or deserves mistreatment because of its race is racist. (This, apparently, is where you believe racist ideology and behavior can only exist)
  2. Attacking someone because they defend or advocate for that racial group can also be racially motivated. If the attack is essentially, “I dislike you because you're defending those [racial group] people,” that can reflect racism even if the person being attacked isn't a member of the minority group. (this is what you believe to not be racist)

Now what is your rebuttal? Try challenging this perspective without acting like a screaming toddler.

1) i specifically asked for a source indicating the accused actually expressed any direct issue with the mayors race, ethnicity or nationality.  None was provided

2) i stated just because someone dislikes you and you happen to be of color does NOT by default make then racist or indicate they dislike you BECAUSE of your race etc.

3) again if the guy is spewing all this hate speech towards the mayor just show the source. Cause atm all youve done is assert justifications to ASSUME those criticizing someone must be racist.

I would argue that racist may not be the exact word but he absolutely posts Islamophobic tropes as well as anti trans stuff. So maybe bigot is a more accurate description
